Historic Preservation Roofing
It’s not unusual in historic preservation for a new Follansbee Terne II roof to be specified to replace a 100-year old Follansbee terne roof.
From Thomas Jefferson’s home Monticello, to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and its new TCS II roof, Follansbee is the first choice of preservationists.
A modern Follansbee roof is made with materials that look just like their historic, standing seam, terne roof antecedents - but have even more capability to stand up to the effects of time and the environment. To this day, thanks to Follansbee’s patented ZT alloy, no modern Follansbee roof has had a material failure.
And although Follansbee’s KlassicKolors paint formulas include hi-tech UV reflectance, their hues are true to traditional colors used on many historic buildings.
Additionally, Follansbee roofs are completely recyclable and made from recycled materials. |
